Steve Molloy

My name is Steve Molloy, and I help with the design and organization of the course. I have a particular responsibility for ECFTS accreditation of the course through Leeds Metropolitan University, where I work. Leeds is a city in the North of England with a population of about 500,000. It was once an industrial city but is now a major financial, cultural and student centre for the UK. Leeds Met. has over 40,000 full-time and part-time students. I am Head of the Centre for Access to Lifelong Learning (CALL) and Associate Dean. CALL delivers undergraduate programmes off-campus to over 3,000 students each year in support of community and workforce development throughout the Leeds and Yorkshire region.

I still like to think of myself as an academic sociologist though I have specialized less and less in this field since completing my doctoral thesis on the work of Max Weber. Currently, I have particular interests and responsibilities for the University's work with partners in eastern Europe. Outside work, I like to spend as much time as I can watching cricket and football (especially Manchester United) on the TV, preferably with a glass of something good by my side. I look forward to meeting old and new friends in Budapest.
